Auckland Castle, in Bishop Auckland, County Durham was the regal backdrop for this Pre-Wedding shoot for Sam and Sophie who will tie the knot at, Bowburn Hall Hotel later in 2022. They met us at one of the Wedding showcase events held at the venue and contacted us soon after to book us for their special day.

Sam and Sophie enjoyed taking in the history of the castle from our personal guide, courtesy of the Castle team. We where shown around and permitted to take images both internally and externally on the grounds, with features that date back to the early 19th Century, it is also known as the Bishop Palace.

The late afternoon lighting helped captured some moody and dynamic images, both natural and posed to help them both relax into the camera. Whilst exploring the castle we reminisced about our childhoods, school trips and family days out to the location. We chatted about the arrangements for the day and how they would like the images to be captured, using documentary style and candid images to make memories.
